Dr. Blanki Cherubini
Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation
Dr. Blanki Cherubini, M.D., is Board-Certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. She has an International background. She is certified by the American Board of Independent Medical Examiners, and certified by the Interventional Orthobiologics Foundation.
Dr. Cherubini completed her Internship in surgery and finished her residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in Bronx, New York. During her residency, she has received comprehensive training, including extensive exposure to Electrodiagnostic Medicine (NCV/EMG Study) with multiple post-residency training at Harvard University. She has been trained in Musculoskeletal Medicine, diagnostic ultrasound, Sports Medicine, and ultrasound-guided injections.
Jessica Parker
Nurse Practitioner
Jessica was born and raised in Hutchinson, Kansas and relocated to Rhode Island with her family in 1997. She graduated from Salve Regina University with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and went on to attend the University of Rhode Island where she graduated with High Honors and was inducted into Sigma Theta Tau with a Master’s Degree in Science specializing in family medicine. Jessica has over 12 years of Emergency Medicine experience and 8 years of Orthopedic experience.
She joined Dr. Blanki Cherubini at International & Functional Pain Center in 2021. She is nationally certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). Jessica looks forward to providing excellent personalized individual care.
Sheila Maguire
Physical Therapist
Sheila Maguire, MSPT, is a highly qualified physical therapist with a Masters in Physical Therapy from the University of Rhode Island, holding licenses to practice in Rhode Island and Massachusetts. With a comprehensive background in manual techniques, traditional exercise, and incorporating principles from Pilates and yoga, Sheila specializes in fostering healing and wellness at the Pain Center. Her passion lies in educating clients about their body’s natural healing capacities.
She brings a wealth of experience, particularly in working with diverse populations such as geriatrics, pediatric clients, and individuals seeking relief from orthopedic injuries and related conditions. Sheila adeptly addresses pain and dysfunction, guiding patients towards improved balance, functional mobility, and enhanced independence, ultimately mitigating fall risks. Her expertise extends to aquatic therapy and Hippotherapy, utilizing innovative techniques like using horses as platforms to aid in enhancing strength, balance, and daily functional abilities.
Notably, her work with children undergoing therapy on horseback has resulted in increased confidence, improved verbal skills, heightened focus, and enhanced mental well-being. In addition to her MSPT, Sheila holds a Bachelor of Science in Marketing with a minor in Communications from Cedar Crest College in PA. Beyond her professional endeavors, she finds joy in various activities such as working out, gardening, paddle boarding, and actively volunteering at her local church. Sheila resides in Rhode Island alongside her three children and their beloved pet dog and cats.
